Speech and Language Pathologist

The Speech and Language Pathologist, Early Stages will conduct screenings and evaluations in communication for children referred to Early Stages. The Speech and Language Pathologist functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team that collaborates to determine eligibility for special education services and draft Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Speech and Language Pathologist will not provide treatment services. This position is a 12-month position and will be a member of the Council of School Officers (CSO) union. This position is a safety-sensitive position. 

Evaluation Coordinator

The  Coordinator, Evaluation leads multidisciplinary evaluations for children ages 2y8m–5y10m referred to Early Stages. This role conducts developmental and educational assessments (standardized and play-based), leads IEP teams in determining eligibility for special education services, and drafts high-quality IEPs aligned with DCPS expectations. The coordinator serves as the LEA representative, champions creative strategies to support inclusive preschool placements, and ensures family-centered, culturally responsive communication.
